Business Club of Management Stream of GEMS School, Dhapakhel. Lalitpur organized a Business Plan Competition among its students of grades XI and XII, Management Stream on 13 December 2018. There were 22 participants who took part in this program in 6 groups. These groups of students had their own separate business plans. These plans were, Skylodge Nepal, Dynamic Security Infotech, Tandem Sharing Service, Bhraman: Travel Card and Anandban Ecovillage. These business plans were demonstrated by the respective group leader along with their co-presenters. The program was witnessed and evaluated by the panel of judges, where Mr. Niraj Khanal, CEO of Antarprerana, Mr. Ajaya Regmi, CEO of Smart Hub Limited and Life Coach and Trainer and Mr. Sachan Thapa, Business Analyst were the members in the panel.
In the welcome address by College Head, Mr. Ganesh Datt Bhatt of GIHE appreciated the contestants for being able to prepare to get recognized in the field of entrepreneurship through pitching the ideas. According to him the students always think out of the box when they are given a platform to show case their talents.
The panel of the judges evaluated and declared the business plan of Dynamic Security Infotech the best plan and awarded the first prize for it. The presenter of Dynamic Security Infotech business plan, Mr. Bishwojit Gupta emphasized to operate his business to address the need of security through watches. Their product claims to be efficient in controlling the crime rates through the watches. The winners were able to bag the cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- along with certificates and gold medals. Ms. Swikriti Neupane presented her plan of Anandban Ecovillage to those who love to relax, rejoice and rejuvenate and bagged the second position with silver medals and the group of Bhraman: Travel Card secured the third position with bronze medals for their smart travel cards for the people who use public transport.
The Executive Director of GEMS School, Mr. Barun Khadka expressed his gratitude and thankfulness to the panel of judges for giving their valuable time to the program. The judges were highly impressed by the plans of the students and shared that such business plans could be only expected to be performed by the students of Master level and claimed the students were highly innovative and creative in their levels. Furthermore, the panel of the judges congratulated to the organizers for making such an innovative event successful among the students of plus two levels.
