GEMS School, Dhapakhel, Lalitpur organized a Business Plan Competition among its students of grades XI and XII, Management Stream on 13 December 2019. There were 46 participants who took part in this program in 8 groups. These groups of students had their own separate business plans. These plans were, Rakshya, Vision, Naksha- Your Guide, Scrap-to-Craft, Trampoline Park, Bio vitality Eco-Friendly Plastics, Water Vending Machine, and Free WI FI Zone. These business plans were demonstrated by the respective group leader along with their co-presenters. The program was witnessed and evaluated by the panel of judges, where Dr. Devid Basyal, Asst. Professor, Nepal Open University, Mr. Roopesh Shrestha, Cluster Director, Learning and Development, Hotel Marriott, and Mr. Mihir Khakurel, Founder, Time Technology Pvt. Ltd were the members in the panel.
The panel of the judges evaluated and declared the business plan of Bio Vitality Eco-Friendly Plastics the best plan and awarded the first prize for it. The presenters of Bio Vitality Eco-Friendly business plan, emphasized to operate their business to produce eco-friendly plastics using biodegradable waste. The winners were able to bag the cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- along with certificates and gold medals. The presenters of Rakshya, emphasized to reduce crime by producing a self-defense tools Pepper Spray using local product chilly and some chemicals and bagged the second position with silver medals and the team of Vision, secured the third position with bronze medals for their smart vehicle sensor identifying nearby objects to reduce accidents.
Ms. Daxyata Bhandari hosted the program and Mr. Sijen Maharjan and Mr. Roshib Nayaju captured the entire event onto their cameras.
