MUFTI DAY INTRA COLLEGE SCIENCE ART AND PHOTOGRAPHY EXHIBITION 2075

The Third GEMS Intra-college Science, Arts and Photography Exhibition was held among the students of Plus 2 and A Levels in the premises of the Gems Institute of Higher Education on December 14th 2018. Senior Geologist and eminent scientist of Nepal Prof. Dr. Ranjan Dahal, President of Robotics Association of Nepal Er. Bikash Gurung, Dept. Head of Science of GEMS School Mr. Sulakshya Shrestha and Senior Science teacher Mr. Surendra Mishra were the members of the panel of judges for the assessment of the Science Projects in the exhibition.

The exhibition was inaugurated by founder director of GEMS School and GIHE Mr. Rajesh Khadka, who stressed that such exhibitions would enhance the creativity and research skills of students and strengthen their theoretical knowledge of science and technology. College Head, Mr. Ganesh Datt Bhatt, praised the students for their research in diverse scientific fields and congratulated the staff and students on making this annual event successful.

A total of 25 groups comprising over 100 students had participated in the science exhibition and more than 70 students took part in Art & Photography Exhibition. The project, "Virtual Reality Game Experience", presented by Avinash Gyawali, Aashish Bhatta and Aayush Dahal was declared first and awarded with NRs.10,000, certificates and medals. Similarly, the project, "Wave Fire Extinguisher" presented by Shirish Shrestha and his group and "Is your Phone Secure?" presented by Atul Gautam were declared second and third respectively. Mr. Barun Khadka, Executive Director of GEMS, thanked the panel of the Judges for assessing the student's research work. College administrator Mr. Santosh Siwakoti, Coordinators Mr. Govinda Raj Sharma, Mr. Suraj Baral, Mr. Anit Pandey, Mr. Samir Nepal thanked all the faculty members and students for their hard work, dedication and cooperation for putting up a successful event.

In addition to the exhibition, students celebrated MUFTI DAY as well. Varieties of bakery items along with coffee and tea stalls were kept by the SOCIAL SERVICE CLUB and BUSINESS CLUB to raise fund for the social service activities.
