Beside this, students are also taken on domestic and international educational tours to foster a better understanding of cross-cultural similarities and differences. Students also get to opt for the Adventure course conducted by the Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, Darjeeling India. We have also introduced the Jane Goodall foundation’s, “Roots and Shoots” programme for community engagement.
The college has recently become a member of the Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award, the world’s leading youth achievement award, which is open to all students aged 14-24 years regardless of their background. The Award is about personal development, and it is not a competition with others. Taking part in the Award gives young people formal recognition for their achievements, and is valued by many educational institutions and employers. The Award also equips young people with practical and social skills that are valuable to their life and career development.
